Wayne Mecham

Wayne R Mecham, age 58, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Beehive Home in Payson, Utah. He was born December 30, 1960 to Donald J and Viola Throckmorton Mecham. He graduated from Payson High School in 1979 and was class president.

Wayne was a skilled brick mason by trade. He was an eagle scout and a state wrestling champion, he was most known for the "Mecham take down". He loved muscle cars, fur trapping and rock and roll. He was a happy go lucky guy with a kind heart. He was the type of person to give you the shirt off his back. Wayne loved his children and grandchild, as he would say "more than you'll ever know".

He is survived by his children, Melissa Mecham, Amanda Mecham (Kory VanDuinen), Brandon Mecham and a grandchild, Autumn Farr. Also his brothers and sisters, Donald B. Mecham, Cindy Ekins, Larry Mecham, Clay Mecham, Mechelle Cowan, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Viola Mecham.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown Family Mortuary 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Utah on May 11, 2019. The viewing will be held at 10:30 am followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. The burial will follow at the Genola City Cemetery.
