Warren William Bingham

June 1, 1953 — July 11, 2024

Warren William Bingham

A heart full of kindness was stilled on July 11, 2024, but the impression Warren William Bingham left on all who knew him will go on for eternity. Warren passed with his sweetheart, Joanne Lindman Bingham, by his side and surrounded by his loving family after complications from a stroke.

Warren was born on June 1, 1953 to Arnold and Sarah Bingham in St. Anthony, Idaho. As the youngest of six children, his early years were spent in Newdale, Idaho on a dairy and potato farm. He was raised to work hard and appreciate the land. Warren graduated from Sugar-Salem High School and later served in the Delaware-Maryland Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon returning, he attended Ricks College, where he and Joanne met on the ballroom dance team. They were married on November 6, 1975, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Warren continued his education at Utah State University and pursued a career as a certified Herdsman and in Dairy Management. Notable highlights of his career included his work with students at the BYU Dairy and his involvement in the emerging technology of bovine embryo transfers.

Warren and Joanne raised their family of 9 children in Salem, Elberta, and Santaquin, Utah. He faithfully served in numerous callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and cherished the friendships he formed through his service. After retiring, Warren and Joanne fulfilled a lifelong dream of serving a mission. They enjoyed their time together as missionaries in the Indianapolis, Indiana Mission.

Warren was a dedicated husband and father and worked hard to provide for his family. After returning home from work on Saturday afternoons, he could often be found sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor. He enjoyed laughing with his children and studying the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Some of the things Warren found joy in were bringing his family together to teach them the Gospel, bottling produce grown in the family garden, working on the family car, watching “old flicks”, or starting a spontaneous water fight.

Warren’s children will remember him teaching them the value of persistence, hard work, and the importance of finding humor in everyday moments of life. During his life, he had many ups and downs, but his love and trust in the Lord pulled him through the difficult times. He proved himself a faithful and dedicated disciple of Jesus Christ. Warren held his torch of faith high and often shared his burning conviction with others through acts of service. We are all warmed by the light he carried.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, and their children Tennille (Daren) Upham, Malissa (Jed) Zirker, Joshua Bingham, Janalyn (Roger) Pearson, Jessica (Shea) Allred, Rebecca (Mark) Rees, Tiffany (Russell) Walston, Ashley (Richard) Bitton, Camille (Jake) Wood and his cherished thirty-three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Warren is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jean. He is survived by his siblings DeAnn Wright, Ethel Johnson, Raymond Bingham, and Reta Luke.

We are deeply grateful that God gifted us a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather.
