Our sweet dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend was set free to be with his beloved parents and four siblings after many years struggling with health issues. He passed away surrounded by loved ones on March 3, 2025 in his home in Orem, Utah.
Timothy Kim “TK” Meyer was born on September 8, 1948 to Catherine Isabelle Urbank and Henry “Hank” Frederick Meyer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Growing up he lived in California and Western Samoa and attended schools there. He has six siblings of which four preceded him in death: Michael J Meyer, Christine Susan Meyer, Amanda Kay Meyer Wilson and Elizabeth Ann Marie Meyer Rodeback. He is survived by his sister Dinel Lillian Meyer Minson (Robin) and brother Paul Henry Meyer (Laurie).
He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in England and Wales.
He married Linda M Mayclin in Pierce, Washington on July 15, 1972. He is survived by their three daughters: Lisa Marie Meyer, Tamara Dawn Meyer and Tiffany Ann Meyer. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren from these daughters.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy Reserves. After 9/11 he served active duty in Pensacola, Florida. He was able to travel to many places around the world for his training with the military.
On October 11, 1996, he married Jody Raquel Knudsen in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is survived by their three daughters: Kayley Raquel Meyer Banda (Luis), Bryawna Bailey Meyer and Tayla Isabelle Meyer. He is also survived by three grandchildren from these daughters.
He attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in criminal justice. He retired as a Sergeant from the Provo Police Department after 26 years of service. He worked undercover, on search and rescue, as a detective and on patrol. He made many lifelong friends while serving the public in this capacity.
He was fortunate to live on small farms during his life and really enjoyed life on the farm with his family and his various animals. He also enjoyed horseback riding, RVing, 4 wheeling in Moab, spending time with his family, fussing over his dogs (especially his beloved Chloe and Ozzy), drinking a can of Mtn Dew and watching his extensive collection of action and sci-fi movies.
TK will be missed dearly by all his family and friends.
His viewing will be held on March 7, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm with a service from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm all held at his Stake Center at 400 West 1800 South, Orem, Utah 84058.
