Sherry Lee Evelyn Westerman Barney, beloved Wife, Mother and Granny Mae returned home to her Heavenly Father May 16, 2012. Born May 31,1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Raised and loved by grandparents William Arthur and Grietja Westerman, step-mother Lucille, and foster parents John D and Betty Turner. Graduated from South High School 1961 and later attended Beauty School. Married B Joe Barney June 9, 1962, and raised 4 daughters.

Sherry was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother with a creative eye for many things. She was an accomplished seamstress, creating unique pieces for Miss Rodeo America as well as her daughters, grandchildren and many others. She enjoyed gardening and feeding "her" birds and fish. She spent many hours watching her girls and grandchildren compete in all things including rodeo, horse shows and other activities. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in many callings. Her glamorous smile and mischievous sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Survived by spouse Joe, daughters Lisa, Jolene, Mindilyn (Justin) Rose, & Rachel (Dave) Lloyd, 10 grandchildren, brother Bill DeGraaff.

Preceded in death by her grandparents William Arthur and Grietja Westerman, step-mother Lucille Westerman.

Thanks so much to the hospice care givers especially "Sweet Sarah", the doctors and staff at Nephi Clinic/Hospital.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 21st at 11:00 am at the Genola LDS Chapel, corner of State and Main. Friends may call at Brown Family Mortuary, 66 So. 300 E, Santaquin Sunday 6 to 8 pm and Monday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment, Genola Cemetery.
