Shantell Shakespeare

Shantell Maples Shakespeare, our heaven-sent Guardian Angel, passed away August 9, 2007 at the young age of 33. She was born July 17, 1974 to Daniel Earl and Nancy Jane Corbett Maples. She is survived by her parents of Goshen; her beloved children, Stacia D. Jane Maples (father, Chadwick Curtis), Shayla Shantell Jacobson (father, Dustin Jacobson), and Shanden James Shakespeare (father, Hank Shakespeare). Shantell and Hank were married April 27, 1995 in St. George. They were happily together for 12 years and recently divorced. He was always there for her. Her brother, Justin Maples, and her sister, Danielle Maples, will miss her dearly, always remembering her for her gentle smile and bounding laughter. Shantell was in a war with addiction and infection, caught in the cross fire. She will be joining her grandparents, Bryce Corbett, of Spanish Fork, and Violet Lindsey, of Springville, in the presence of our Lord with an after life of perfection. Drugs have taken yet another loved one from this earth, from our arms, our lives. Rest in peace Shantell, for you are loved by all. Sleep well, our Guardian Angel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14th at 12:00 noon at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, where family and friends may gather one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery.
