Russell Lynn Sessions

October 13, 1961 — June 10, 2023

Russell Lynn Sessions

The elk are bulging a sigh of relief. The mighty hunter has laid down his gun.  Russ has moved on to higher mountains and is walking in greener pastures.

Russell Lynn Sessions passed away peacefully holding the hand of his sweetheart, June 10, 2023.  Russell was born on October 13, 1961 to Ardath Burgess and Thomas Edward Sessions (Bud).

He grew up in Richfield, Utah. The hills and mountains were his favorite place to be. As a child and teenager, he would get up in the morning and head for the hills, many times skipping school. He knew every stream, hill, and trail. His dream was to retire and move back to his old stomping grounds. Russ absolutely loved hunting and fishing.

Russ was in the National Guard and received many awards for his marksmanship.

He worked for KK Mechanical and retired after 29 years. He was proud to have worked for them. He truly was an artist with the mechanical rooms that he built.

Russ is survived by his wife Karen, children Cody & Kristy Sessions, Holly Wilkerson, Kira & Caleb Buswell, Daniel Dix, Tasheena Gonzales, Chelsea & Todd Holt, 18 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, sister Julie and her son Zach, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Russ will truly be missed and was loved by so many.

A celebration of Russ’ life will be held Saturday June 24, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at the Santaquin Centennial Park,  300 West 100 South.
