He preferred the company of horses and dogs to people. He was a dedicated gardener and found great joy in nurturing his beautiful yard. His roses and dahlias were almost unmatched. He enjoyed many fun times participating in the White Pine riding club. He tenderly cared for his wife until her death. Preceded in death by his wife Pearl and his sister Shirley R. Johnson.
