Robert Lee Garnett, age 75, returned home to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Thursday December 16, 2021, in Murray, Utah. He was born on January 6, 1946, in Dallas Texas to Hendon Burnett Garnett and Lilah Elizabeth Richards Garnett, and is now reunited with them.
He married the love of his life, Kathryn Kratzer on January 25, 1986, in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. They had one daughter, Michele, that he called Peanut even to this day. He lived in Grand Junction, Colorado and Cedar City, Utah. They moved eight years ago to Taylorsville to be closer to their daughter and 5 grandkids.
Robert was the best husband, father, and grandpa you could ask for. Family meant everything to him. He cherished his four grandsons, his adventure buddies and his granddaughter who was his princess. He enjoyed taking the two younger grandkids to school every morning and spending the evenings playing with his granddaughter. He would spend hours at his daughter’s house just to spend time with each of them.
Robert had a big heart and wanted to help anyone he could. He enjoyed reading books in his free time. He is a veteran and served in the United States Army. He loved his country, eagles, and the American Flag.
Dad, we love you and you will be missed so much!
