Richard R Johnson

Richard Johnson lost his battle with cancer Wednesday, September 27, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. He is the son of Verla Nadine and Randall Athos Johnson. He was born December 27, 1960 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.

Richard was very talented and a perfectionist when it came to any task at hand. Every detail was perfect. His handwriting was as if he used a straight edge to make the letters.

After graduating from Payson High School he lived with his grandmother in Santaquin so he could attend Utah Valley Technical College in Orem where he studied drafting. His precise handwriting and being a perfectionist, drafting was a perfect fit for him.

He worked for Robitronics, Black and Decker, had his own business installing stereo equipment and then his dream job, truck driving. His penmanship showed in his truck logs. He enjoyed reloading shells and shooting.

He was preceded in death by his sister Rashel Johnson, his mother Verla Cole, his father Randall Johnson, nephew Jeffrey Marshall, brother-in-law Richard Hebner.

He is survived by his sisters Una Hebner, Cindy (Bob) Caldwell and Sherrie (Jim) Marshall and his brother Rick ( Sandy) Averett, and many cousins.

There will be a graveside service at Santaquin City Cemetery October 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. for family and and friends. In lieu of flowers please make a donation for the service to Brown Family Mortuary in Santaquin in Richard's name.
