Reid Nelson
Russell Reid Nelson passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Reid was born April 10, 1933 to Russell Benson Nelson of Goshen, Utah and Eda Mae Bartholomew of Fayette, Utah. He attended school in Goshen, Utah and graduated from Payson High School and Provo Technical College.
Reid married Joan Sharon Mitchell of Nyssa, Oregon October 9, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 4 children they loved dearly.
Reid leaves behind his wife, Joan, children; Lyle Reid (Eureka, Utah) Craig Max (Tooele, Utah) Russell Dean (Centerfield, Utah) Annette (Scott) Bergera (Santaquin, Utah), 8 grand children, 7 great grandchildren, his sisters-in-law Karen Fife (Nyssa, Oregon) and Lynnette (Milt) Hansen (Price, Utah) He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson and brother-in-law.
A viewing for family and friends will be held at the Brown Family Mortuary in Santaquin on Saturday, November 25th from 12:00 to 1:30 pm. Dedication of the grave and military honors will be at the Goshen Cemetery. NO other services will be held at Reid's request.
