Pauline Taylor

October 26, 1951 — October 17, 2021

Pauline Hansen Taylor of Eureka, Utah passed away peacefully on Sunday Oct. 17th 2021. She was born Oct 26th 1951 in Payson, Utah to Geraldine Evelyn (Jack) Garbett and Paul J. Hansen. Pauline was raised in the Mining Community of Eureka, Utah where she attended the Tintic Schools and the Latter Day Saints Church with her Grandmother and her siblings every Sunday. Pauline is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas M. Taylor of Eureka, Ut,  3 children, Cammy (Bret) Gunderson of Eureka Ut., Thomas (Collette) Taylor Jr. of Eureka, Ut., Nicole (Robert) Cunningham of Lincoln, WA., her precious furbaby Gizmo, her 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren soon to be 9. She is also survived by her siblings Sandy (Doug) Fullerton of St.George, Ut., Janet (Jim) Larson of Lofgreen, Ut., William (Sandy) Hansen of Eureka, Ut. and Jeri (Larry) Ezell of Eureka, Ut., with many nieces and nephews. Pauline is preceded in death by her Father, Paul J. Hansen and Brother Gordon Melvin Hansen.

Pauline lived most of her life in Eureka Utah where she graduated from Tintic High School. She met the love of her life Thomas Mark Taylor in Eureka Utah and they married on July 21st, 1968 in Elko, Nevada. They had a love for each other greater than anything anyone has ever seen; it rivaled any Hollywood love story. Anyone who knew her knows her greatest accomplishment, legacy, and love was her family. Her entire life was lived through her kids and grandchildren. Her favorite role in life was being Grandma. Her favorite place to be was camping with her family, where she told scary stories of "Only the beautiful grandma surviving" striking fear in the grandkids. Yet all the grandkids fought to sleep next to her. You could find grandma with sugar any time giving her the name "Cookie Grandma". Grandma had a sassy, vivacious, fun, and loving personality. She was the strongest woman any of us have ever known and fought hard to the end. Her personality, advice, love, and beautiful smile will be sorely missed.

Most of the Community of Eureka will remember Pauline working at the Summit or at North Lily Mining as a Foreman Assayer, Carpenter Station and later on at Peak Security. When she wasn’t working, she was with Tom and her family.

We know that she has touched the hearts and lives of so many people in this world. Mom's wishes were that her family and friends gather to eat food, visit and talk about the good times and days gone by.. Family and friends please join us in celebrating her beautiful and vibrant life that will be held at the LDS Churchy 70 East Main Street in Eureka, Utah 84628 at 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 23rd, 2021 .
