Paul G. Haigh

Paul Graham Haigh, age 77, of Santaquin, Utah peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father's loving arms in the late afternoon of Thursday May 9, 2024. After many health battles throughout the course of his life and the choice to go on hospice, he was able to be made comfortable and surrounded by family in his last days.

Paul was born in Oldham, Lancashire, England, to his mother, May Brookes, and his father, Herbert Haigh on March 8, 1947. His older brother, David Haigh, preceded him in death and passed away as an infant. He grew up in England, and in his early years he made many friends and fond memories which eventually led him to his carpentry apprenticeship at age 14. After 4 years of hard work, he was licensed as a master carpenter at age 18, which was his chosen career path for the rest of his life. In December of 1977 he married his sweetheart, Marian E.V. Haigh in the Provo, Utah Temple where they were sealed for time and all eternity. They had two children Nathan, and Dawn, both of whom are loved dearly. After many years in England, a successful business, and many more memories later, Paul led his family back to the United States where they lived in Provo, Utah for a few years.

After a long and hard battle with Leukemia, he ultimately retired in his 50s. Paul and Marian later found their forever home in Santaquin, Utah, and Paul was able to restore their house into the home it is now. He mended and made things for his family and friends, using his talents to bless all those he loved. Rare was the day that he didn’t have a project to work on. He will forever be missed. Paul loved his wife, his grandchildren, and he deeply loved his daughter who was always his sidekick. His dogs were always his best pals, and his tools were his prized possessions. Our home will never be the same without his jokes, fun-loving, and kind spirit, but we are grateful for the example he was for all of us.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother and father May & Herbert Haigh, his brother, David Haigh his sister Marcia Haigh, his in-law’s, Emma & William Page, and many friends. He is survived by his beloved wife Marian, his son Nate, his daughter, Dawn (Scott), his grandchildren, Emma (Grant), Jacob, Eli, Noah, Tristan, Arden, Olivia, Maisey, and Lilly. He is also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews, his brother, brother-in-law, and sister in laws.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Santaquin East Bench Church, 250 S. 580 E. Santaquin, Utah. Paul's family will greet friends from 9:00 - 9:45 am prior to the services. He will then be brought to his final resting place in the Santaquin City Cemetery.

Paul, Grandad, Dad, we love you. We miss you, job’s a goodun, have a rest.
