Oren Oliver Larson, age 68 of Goshen, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 and was reunited with his wife and others who preceded him. He was born August 7, 1948 in Provo, Utah to Oren Fay and Cora May Olsen Larson. He married Sheila Lynn Child August 8, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Oren helped form United Concerts with JC McNeil and was very proud of it. He was also affiliated with Concerts West. Oren enjoyed all the work he accomplished and truly loved music with all of his heart and soul. He also was able to be a part of the film “Promised Land” which was filmed in Utah. He drove truck for Staker and Granny’s Bread before retiring to stay home and take care of his wife, Sheila, who passed away April 21, 2004.
Oren was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1984 and was ordained an Elder on November 19, 2000. On April 26, 2006 he was sealed to Sheila in the Provo LDS Temple.
Oren is survived by his daughter, Amy (Jerad) Peck, and his son, Damon (Tawna) Kaufman; 2 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, 2 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons; also 4 sisters and 3 brothers; and many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him with all their heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Daniel, a daughter Rebecca and his loving wife Sheila.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 14th at 11:00 am at the Provo City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to help with funeral costs would be greatly appreciated.
