Melvin Ray Williams, formerly of Ava, Missouri passed away at age 78, on Monday, September 15, 2008. at his home in Payson, Utah. He was born January 18, 1930 in Denver, Colorado to Moses Llewellyn and Lilly Belle Boyd Williams. Melvin was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Marines. Mel was the former manager of the Ava Bear Bath car wash (Supreme Carwash Systems). He is survived by his wife, Marie and 13 children, Jim, Larry (deceased), Gloria, John, Tim, Randy, Chatherine, Carl (deceased), Deb, Rick, Cristy, Anja, and Sharaya. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren, and all sons and daughters-in-law. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 am in the Payson 20th Ward, 482 West 1400 South. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery. He will truly be missed by all of his family and friends.
