Mary Elaine Anderson Shepherd was born February 1, 1930 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Boas Eyjolfur and Catherine Ann Christianson Anderson. She died at home on November 29, 2016.
Mary married the love of her life, Francis (Scott) Shepherd on July 5, 1947 in Pioche, Nevada. Their marriage was sealed for time and eternity on June 18, 2007 in the Provo Temple.
Mary loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed her many friends, going for rides, reading, singing, and quilting. She drove a special needs school bus for 24 years, she loved the kids on her bus. She loved to serve in the LDS church and had many callings, she especially loved being a visiting teacher and librarian.
She is survived by her children, Connie (David) Hyde, Jenet (Leonard) Grill, Kate (Dennis) Underwood, Bill Shepherd, Jane Liby, Matt (Nanette) Shepherd, Luke (Jet) Shepherd; 25 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Scott, of 62 years, her parents, her daughter Sue, her brothers Ed and Ray, her sisters Rosetta, Blanche, Helen, Kathryn, Ruby, and Margie.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5th at 11:00 am at the Santaquin Stake Center, 45 South 500 West. Friends may call at Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Monday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to services. Interment, Santaquin City Cemetery.
