Mary Draper

On Thursday, May 14, 2009, we lost our Angel and Hero. With her family by her side, Mary Lou Taylor Draper passed away from complications of liver failure. She was born May 31, 1946 to Mark L. and Bernice Gourley Taylor.

She was a life-long resident of Eureka and a graduate of Tintic High School. She dedicated many wonderful years to the Tintic School District. There was not a more fitting night for her to leave us than "T" night.

On July 8, 1967 she married Mike Draper. Together they had 3 wonderful kids that were the light and love of her life. She had a very close extended family and had many wonderful stories from her childhood. She kept that strong family bond and instilled that in her children.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Mike (Rhonda) Draper, Rodney (Shena) Draper and Heidi (Mark) Davis; a step-daughter, Karen (Scott) Loper; 11 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Tom (Pauline) Taylor and a sister, Judy Jones. She is also survived by her sister's children, Melissa, Candy, Mark, Crystal, Marcie, Shannon and Autry as well as 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren that she considered her own after her sister passed away. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Kenny Taylor and a sister Jenny Long.

A viewing will be held at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin on Thursday, May 21st from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 22nd at 11:00 am at the Tintic High School in Eureka with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Burial, Eureka City Cemetery.
