Lyle Montague

Lyle Dean Montague, 54, passed away peacefully November 6, 2023 after an unexpected and short battle with health complications. He was born September 18, 1969 to Ray and Edna Montague in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Lyle enjoyed life and was always happy despite his earthly limitations. 

He had a love for the Denver Broncos, model cars, attending car shows and most importantly you could always find him surrounded by his young nieces and nephews who brought him much joy as he did them.  

Lyle grew up in Sandy, Utah and graduated from Hillcrest High School in the Special Education Program. He lived with his parents until their passing in 2007. In 2008 he came to live in Santaquin with his brother and sister in law and he spent the last 15 years enjoying many trips including Disneyland, San Diego and his favorite annual trip to Moab with his extended family.  Lyle looked forward to Sunday family dinners, watching the Super Bowl with his football stats in hand and had a love for cars passed down to him by his dad. 

Lyle thrived on a schedule and we could always count on him to remember birthdays as he would gift his great nephews hot wheels cars which they looked forward to each year.  

We are grateful for the opportunity through various programs that help people in his situation hold jobs and provide them with a sense of stability. 

Lyle is survived by his brother Michael Montague (Karen), sister Marie and his extended family who loved him very much.

Services will be held Friday November 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at Brown Family Mortuary. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment will be at Crescent Cemetery in Sandy, Utah where he will be laid to rest next to his parents whom he missed so much. 

We take great peace and comfort knowing that he is in a place where he will be at his full mental and physical capacity.
