Lily Draper Kirkham

Lily Renae Draper Kirkham, age 75, passed away March 4, 2024, at her home in Kearns, Utah. She was born May 3, 1948, in Payson, Utah to Burke Jay and Irma Ruth Draper. She married Rodger Blaine Kirkham on June 11, 1976, in the Provo, Utah Temple.

Lily was a kind and devoted family member. She was an active member of her church and enjoyed religious shows and reading material regularly. She knew almost every birthday of all her family by heart. She knew the names of their pets as well and later in life if she didn’t, she would ask every day. 

Lily was quite fond of wacky hats she would receive from family members, care takers, and friends for every special event or special places they had visited. She was a prolific letter writer and wrote cursive up to the date of her death.

Lily is survived by her children: Sheldon (Lisa), Jeffory (Jennifer), and Cynthia; grandchildren: Lucas, Katelynne, Cannon, Justice, Logan, Kaden, Justin, Tanner, and April; siblings: Rose, Bryan (Carol), Steven (Jane Ann), and Mark (Stacey).

Lily is preceded in death by her husband, Rodger, of 44 years, daughter Rebecka Lamb, parents Burke and Ruth Draper, and siblings Elton, Michael, and Marylou. Lily regularly spoke about the people that passed before her and how she missed them. She looked forward to seeing them again.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Genola LDS Chapel, 50 No. Main Street, with a viewing from 12:00 to 12:45 pm prior to the services. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
