Lila Mae Carter Steele, age 67 of Goshen, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010 in Salt Lake City. She was born July 30, 1943 in Nephi, Utah to George Elmont and Lucille Greenhalgh Carter. She married Randal Loyle Steele September 18, 1964 and they were sealed in the Manti Temple February 6, 1991.
Lila was a faithful member of the LDS Church serving in many callings. She enjoyed crafts, especially Swedish weaving. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Randal Loyle Steele, of Goshen; son, Rodney (Billie) Steele; grandchildren, Heather, Chad, Colby, Joshua, Jacob and Delaney Steele; brothers, Herb (Debbie) Carter, Clyde (Ann) Carter, Randy Carter, Hal (Patricia) Carter; and a sister-in-law, MontaRay Carter.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Mountain View Hospital and University of Utah Medical Center for their special care.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 7th at 11:00 am at the Elberta, Utah LDS Chapel. Friends may call at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin Wednesday 6 to 8 pm and Thursday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment, Goshen Cemetery.
