Leear Pierce, 78, of Santaquin passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006 following a lengthy illness. He was born November 3, 1927 in Shelley, Idaho to Sylvester Lee and Elsie Amelia Nielsen Pierce, the eldest of four children. He married Francelle Sorenson November 1, 1958.
Leear was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his loving wife, a son, Russell, of Santaquin, a daughter, Linda, of Nephi; 5 grandchildren, Josh Allan and Jesse Allan, of Nephi, Brandy Wride, of Salem, Zac and Cortney Pierce, of Santaquin, 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Larry Pierce, of Provo. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Pierce, and a sister, Susan Gates.
Friends may call at Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, on Monday, March 13th from 11:30 to 12:30. Graveside services with military rites by Santaquin American Legion, Post 84, will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Santaquin City Cemetery.
