LaWana Jensen

LaWana Kofford Jensen, 72, of Genola, passed away February 17, 2009 in Payson. She was born March 5, 1936 to Cecil Leonard and Ruth Snow Kofford. She married Vaughn R Jensen December 16, 1957 in Ely, Nevada and they were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. LaWana was an active member of the LDS Church. In her younger years she was active in the community working with the Girl Scouts. She loved painting, crafts, decorating and flowers. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed caring for others, especially her family. She is survived by her husband, Vaughn, of Genola; children, David V. (Wanda) Jensen, Orem, Cynthia (Kenneth) Barber, Norman, Oklahoma, Tamara (Kirk) Zander, So. Jordan; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gerald (Nancy) Kofford, Dennis (Linda) Kofford; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Kofford. She was preceded in death by a sister, Renae Palmer and a brother LaVern Kofford. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 21st at 11:00 am in Genola LDS Chapel, Center & Main St. Friends may call at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Friday 6 to 8 pm and Saturday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment, Genola City Cemetery.
