Lavon Ross

Our beloved husband and father Lavon Ross passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 90. He was a resident of Santaquin for most of his life, raising their family with his wonderful wife of 71 years, Maurine Topham Ross.

Lavon had numerous occupations throughout his life; Santaquin City Marshal, a farmer, fur buyer, business owner and land developer, to name a few. Everything he did his wife and family were included. He will be truly missed by them.

Lavon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After 55 years of marriage, he and Maurine were sealed for time and eternity in the Manti Temple. He loved our Savior and was known as a hardworking, honorable and honest man.

Lavon is survived by his eternal companion and best friend Maurine, his loving son Jerry (Marilyn), his devoted daughter Marianne Stevenson, 10 Grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 brother-in-law and 3 sisters-in-laws.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons; Michael, Jan, and Bradford, son-in-law Brent Stevenson, 2 brothers and many dear friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Seasons of Santaquin, I-care Home Health and Hospice, special care giver Kori Vermer, Santaquin 2nd Ward and all of our dear family and friends for their love and support.

Graveside services with military rites will be Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Santaquin City Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday at the Santaquin East Bench Church, 250 South 580 East, from 10:00 to 11:30 am.
