Laura Mitchell

Laura Russell Mitchell peacefully passed away on March 20, 2023 at the age of 44.  Laura was a lifelong resident of Santaquin. She was surrounded by family and friends. Laura was a loving mother of three wonderful children, Tyrell, Kadin, and Jazmin, and was devoted to supporting them in their activities.   Laura loved spending time with family, crafting, game nights, vacationing, reading, crocheting, and especially teasing family members. 

Laura was employed at the BYU Health Center as a Medical Assistant. She was always volunteering anywhere that there was a need.  She was loved by all those who knew her. 

Survived by her children Tyrell (Alison) Russell, Kadin Mitchell, Jazmin Mitchell; her mother Cheryl (Jon) Snelgrove, sister Trista (Kyle) Bird, grandmother Vila Dean Van Ausdal, step-mother Janna Russell, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Laura was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather Carl J. Van Ausdal, along with her grandparents Manuel and Yvonne Russell.

SERVICE LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED:

A viewing will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 9:30 -10:30 am at the Santaquin Downtown LDS Church, 90 South 200 East. Funeral services will be at the church at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery following the services.
