Larry died at Utah Valley Hospital, due to complications from surgery.  He passed after a valiant battle, surrounded by family.

Born to Leah Menlove Palmer and Harold Leroy Palmer, Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Jeanne Beck (Jim), Helen Argyle (Sterling), and brother Rex Palmer (Elsbeth).  He is survived by his sister Barbara Carter (Clair), his wife RoseMarie, their sons Derek and Lance, daughters Shelise and Serena Penrod (David), many nieces and nephews, and his grandchildren Carsen, Kayden, and Kaysen Penrod and Alexys Palmer.

Born in Goshen, Utah, Larry attended Payson High School, served an LDS mission to Tennessee/Kentucky/West Virginia, and graduated from Brigham Young University.  He taught school for eleven years, and retired after over thirty years from the U.S. Postal Service.

Larry was a faithful member of the LDS Church who served various callings, including Bishop and Temple Worker.  He enjoyed fishing, his family cabin, Western movies, sports (especially BYU teams), hunting, reading, and spending time with his granddaughter Lexy and grandsons.

The viewing will be held Friday, September 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Brown Family Mortuary in Santaquin (66 South 300 East).  His funeral will be Saturday, October 1st, at 11:00 am at the Goshen LDS Chapel (70 South Center), with a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 am.  He will be buried in Goshen, the town he loved.
