On June 20, 1983, a round faced, chubby cheek little boy entered the world in Seoul, Korea. On September 16th he flew to Seattle, Washington where he was met by his new family – Ed and Lynette Neff and brother, Blakely. This started an adventure that we rode together till Saturday, November 27, 2021, when he passed away at the University of Utah from Covid-19.
You could find Kolbey on the basketball court making the “three”, you could catch him at Spring Lake Pond looking for crawdads, or Payson Lake fishing with his friends; He loved to be with people, old and young. He loved spending time with his grandparents, playing with the babies, hanging out with cousins, riding Grandpa’s sheep or chasing the streets of Santaquin looking for a hang out. Kolbey’s biggest vice was loving people, never judging, and always wanting to please others. His dad loved him unconditionally, and Kolbey loved his mom the same way. She always waited for that “love you, mom” when they talked. It is with grateful hearts we believe in God’s plan and we know we’ll be together again.
Kolbey is survived by his mother, Lynette Hudson Neff and his brother, Blakely. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Neff, grandparents, and a special cousin Mechele. He leaves behind many aunts and uncles and cousins that are dear to him, especially his Aunt Pearl.
