Kathryn Ann Miers Lofgran our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully on December 24, 2021, at the age of 88. She is the daughter of Walter Scott Miers and Edith Lillian Sleezer Miers. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband Lynn Clayson Lofgran, her brother Herman H. Hall, sister Eleanor J. Bartlet, and daughter Joan Marie Lofgran. Kathryn is survived by six children, Linda Webb, David Lofgran (Natalie), Richard Lofgran (Debbie), Carol Gill, Mary VanLeuven (Brian) and James Lofgran (John Cox). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
Kathryn lived in Johnstown, New York until she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 18 and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. She met her husband Lynn in Salt Lake City and was soon married in the Manti Temple on December 20, 1952. They lived in New York and then moved to Arizona where they spent many years.
She was an active member of the of the church and held many callings in Relief Society and Primary. Kathryn loved to play the piano, sing, and was an accomplished seamstress and interior decorator. Her family was very important to her, and they will miss her very much!
Kathryn’s family would like to thank everyone at Orchard View in Payson for their wonderful care and sharing their hearts with her.
Funeral services will be held on January 8, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 711 South 600 East Payson, Utah. There will be a viewing from 12:00 - 12:45 pm for family and friends at the church prior to services. Interment, Santaquin City Cemetery.
