Julie Ann Cartwright Sorensen, 74, died November 16, 2018 from pulmonary fibrosis. She was born July 31, 1944 in Payson, Utah to Edward and Virginia Sullivan Cartwright. She married Max Sorensen June 8, 1963 in Eureka, Utah.
Julie Ann graduated from Tintic High School in 1962. She attended college at the University of Utah and Stevens Henager College. She worked for the United States Post Office in Eureka for 31 years.
She was a member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Lady Elks. She was the biggest fan of her kids and grandkids in all their activities, especially racing motorcycles. She enjoyed camping and being outdoors with her family. She also crocheted and was dad’s best helper when they built their cabin. Mom loved her annual trips to Fish Lake.
Julie is survived by her son, Edward Sorensen, daughter, Denise (Rob) Peterson, grandchildren, TJ (Shanna) Hannifin, Preston Hannifin, Shalon Hannifin, Danielle Sorensen, Shantelle (Nathan) Charlesworth, sisters, RoseAnn Smith, Geraldine VanAusdal, sister in law, Penny (Ray) Dean, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Max, infant daughter Maxine, and sister Toni. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 121 N. Church Street in Eureka. A Rosary service will be conducted at 10:00 am prior to Mass followed by a visitation from 10:30-12:00. Burial will be in the Eureka Cemetery.
