Jorgen Mathew Olesen

Jorgen Mathew Olesen was born May 24, 1968 on Long Island to his parents, Jorgen Olesen of Denmark and Lilian Smith Olesen of Elmont, New York. He passed away on January 25, 2025, peacefully in his sleep in Provo, Utah. 

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Olesen, and his four sons, Mathew, Daniel (Lexi), Michael (US Navy), and Nicholas Olesen. 

Jorgen was always happy in the kitchen. He owned and operated Liberty Deli in American Fork, Utah and moved to Smithtown, New York and worked for St. Catherine of Siena Hospital as a hospital chef. He loved the ocean and fishing with his friends and sons. He loved his first dog, Poppy, and all his other dogs and birds. Jorgen was a happy soul and will be missed.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:30 am at the Genola City Cemetery.
