Joanne Marie Dahle Prudencio, of Mapleton, Utah passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022, surrounded by her husband and children. We know that her parents and family in heaven were waiting close by with open arms.
Joanne was an amazing wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She is our guardian angel, the voice in our heads, and the inspiration in our hearts. She made many lifelong friends because everyone was drawn to her. She honestly loved and was loved by all. We will especially miss her loving nature, beautiful smile, and infectious laughter.
Joanne was born July 19, 1941, in Sacramento, California to Roy Leland Dahle Jr. and Mary Von Niederhausern Dahle. Both of her parents preceded her in death as did her older brother Fred Dahle. Joanne is survived by her husband Robert Marcello Prudencio, the love of her life; her two younger brothers, Roy Dahle and Del Dahle; her three children, Lorie Puckett, Daniel Prudencio, and Lisa Johns; and 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Joanne had many talents and strengths. She was organized, outgoing, a hard worker, and an amazing leader. She was an exceptional realtor (receiving salesperson of the year for three years in a row), managed many different companies, and held various leadership responsibilities in her church.
She had always wanted to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was able to realize that goal by serving, with her husband Robert, in the Tennessee Nashville Mission from July 2011 to July 2012. It was one of her biggest accomplishments.
Her children remember her love of red roses, elephants, her doll collection, winning family games, and singing Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que sera, sera) on car rides when they were younger. Her happiest place was being with her family.
We will celebrate and reflect together at the Mapleton 18th Ward building, 1215 N. 1000 W., Mapleton, Utah, on Friday, December 9, 2022. The viewing is at 10:00 am and the funeral service is at 11:00 am MST. For those that can’t attend, there will be a live streaming and audio recording made available on the day of the service.
