Janice Garrett Steele

Janice Elaine Garrett Steele, age 84, passed away Saturday March 18, 2023 at her home in Santaquin. She was born September 8, 1938 in Nephi, Utah to John Valore and Elaine Croff Garrett. She married Arlyn Steele on September 16, 1954 in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple.

Janice enjoyed sewing and made many beautiful things. She did acrylic nails and enjoyed the ladies that she met. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various church positions and in the Provo temple. She and Arlyn served as missionaries in Nauvoo in 1994. Her family was her greatest blessing and she loved spending time with them.

Janice is survived by her children, Rick (Trudy) Steele of Santaquin, Jana (Marty) Vincent of Salem, Kelly (Mercell) Steele of Salem; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Patsy Bailey and Launa Barney; brother John V. Garrett and brother-in-law Larry Steele; . She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arlyn and a son Jalynn.

We want to express gratitude to the team at Canyon Home Care & Hospice for the care and love they gave to our mother. Chelsea and Paige went above and beyond to help care for her and us. And thanks to the Santaquin 2nd Ward for all of the time and love that they shared with our mother

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi, Utah.
