Jane Alexandria Leebolt Swan, a beloved mother and passionate librarian, passed away at her home on the evening of November 4, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a brave battle with leukemia.
Born and raised in the heart of Hollywood, Jane was the youngest of five siblings (Chris, Nancy, Michael, Judy, Jane) to Raymond Leebolt and Jean Marie Hardy. Jane's warmth and kindness shone brightly, endearing her to everyone she met.
In her early adulthood, Jane relocated to Utah County to embrace the serene beauty of Orem. She found solace in the quiet landscapes of the mountains, her connection to nature becoming a cherished part of her life.
Jane had an insatiable appetite for knowledge, and her love for books and puzzles was an integral part of her being. As a librarian, she shared her passion for literature and learning with others, touching the lives of countless individuals. Beyond her professional life, she was a dedicated mother and grandmother, who nurtured the minds and hearts of her four children: Lindsay (Brian), Michael (Kasey), Nicholas (Justa), and Stephen (Erin), and seven grandchildren, with one more on the way. Jane is also survived by her loving spouse, Craig, whose support and companionship brought comfort and joy to her life.
One of Jane's most treasured pursuits was her fascination with ancestry and family history. She was a skilled storyteller, weaving together the threads of her family's history and making the past come alive for her loved ones. Her enthusiasm for preserving the memories of those who came before her was a testament to her deep appreciation for family bonds.
Jane is fondly remembered as a loving and nurturing mother, her children being the center of her world. Her gentle guidance, unwavering support, and warm embrace were constants in their lives, leaving a legacy of love and care that will continue to thrive in the hearts of her family.
In celebrating Jane's life, we also celebrate the beautiful tapestry of love, wisdom, and compassion she wove throughout her lifetime. Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Because of her love for reading and physical books, her family kindly suggests that, in lieu of flowers, you consider visiting a library and immerse yourself in the pages of wondrous tales and stories.
Jane Alexandria Leebolt Swan's departure has left a void that can never be filled, but her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to illuminate the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She has now embarked on a new journey, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
