Ida K was born April 25, 1939 in Spring Lake, Utah to Gilbert and Zella Peay. She had 3 siblings, Pinky, Marguerite and Judy. Of her siblings, she was the oldest girl and they were raised in Spring Lake. She met the love of her life, Fred Butler, and they were married on June 27, 1958. Since then they have shared 62 years of love, hard work, and happiness while working side by side. Together they raised 4 children, Raymond, Sheri, Bert and Joe. Mom loved her 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with 2 more great-grandchildren joining soon.
She was always known for her loving heart. You never left her home unfed or empty handed. She spent many hours on the floor playing with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was never afraid to chip in whenever help was needed. Just a few weeks ago we caught her outside with a shovel and rake in hand. You could find her pulling weeds at the neighbors or cooking at the stove. She could make a gourmet meal out of an empty fridge. She loved crocheting and a box of yarn was a new shiny toy to her. She was always greeting you with her warm smile and a "Hi honey!"
Mom and dad loved sitting outside together for hours while talking and watching what was going on around the neighborhood. Hummingbirds knew that she would always have a full feeder waiting for them. They also spent many days traveling from Utah to Yuma, finding many dear friends along the way.
She is adored by so many and will greatly be missed. Her strength and spirit will live on in each of us. She has touched so many lives and she leaves us all with her compassion. The beauty of her soul will never fade.
Our deepest thanks and appreciation goes out to all of you at this time. Special thanks to Doctor Wallentine, Doctor Cook, Doctor Hammer, and Bonnie Ballard with ICare.
