Gertrude Ann Hannifin Bray (Gertie Ann), 75 of Eureka, Utah, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016. She was born on August 25, 1940 to Gertrude and Brennan Hannifin of Eureka, Utah. She married Ronald G. Bray (Ron) on August 6, 1960 at St. Patrick’s Parish in Eureka. She was an active member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Eureka Women’s Altar Society. Gertie Ann is survived by her husband Ron, 2 daughters, Patricia (Glen) Wahlberg and Mary Ann (Klay) Allinson, and 1 son Ronnie (Deanna) Bray and 7 grandchildren Stephanie (Corey) Edwards, Casey (Jake) Urie, McKayla Wahlberg, Francesca and Ciarra Bray, Kaprese, and Kanese Allinson, plus 4 great-grandchildren, Skylee, Megan, and Colton Edwards, and Hannah Urie.
Gertie Ann was a switch board operator for Mountain Bell, sales clerk for Badertscher Variety Store, and managed the State Liquor Agency in Eureka for 24 years. She enjoyed the many patrons and visitors that frequented her business. Mom was a kind and loving lady who always had time to talk and listen. Her heartfelt advice and wisdom was consoling to many people.
Mom’s greatest love was her family and faith. Her most important accomplishment was raising her family. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She loved us with all of her heart and expressed that love daily. Mom we adore and love you more than words can say. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. Until we meet again.
Funeral Mass will be Monday, May 9th at 11:00 am at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 121 No. Church Street in Eureka where family will greet friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
A Rosary service will be conducted Sunday, May 8th at 5:30 pm at the Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, followed by a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Interment will be in the Eureka City Cemetery.
