Frances Ewell

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Frances Marie Gatley Ewell, 89, passed away February 2, 2010 in West Jordan, Utah. She was born November 26, 1920 in Eureka, Utah to William John and Ethel Marie Ivey Gatley. She married John Franklin Ewell September 2, 1940 in Eureka. Frank passed away May 9, 1980.

Frances lived 89 years of a very independent and vibrant life. She was the oldest resident of Eureka. She was a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church and Rebekah's Lodge and the Eureka Senior Citizens. She enjoyed the outdoors and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family, especially her grandkids, and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Georgia) Ewell, Eureka, Deborah (Michael) Sanderson, West Jordan, James (Ramona) Ewell, Copperas Cove, Texas, Ethel (Emmet) Ross, Bristow, Virginia; 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6th at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church in Eureka. Friends may call at the Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, Santaquin City Cemetery.
