On July 2, 2024, our beloved mother, Florinda June Webster Bee passed away peacefully in her home in Santaquin, Utah.
Born in Lewiston, ID on December 17, 1950, Florinda was the 7th child of Jack Webster and Florence (Larson) Webster. While we rejoice in her spiritual reunion with her father, mother, and four brothers (Johnny, Jack, Don, and Richard), her surviving brothers Jim, Bill (Joyce), and beloved sister Florence (Sam) will be missing her until they meet again.
Known for her gentle spirit and selflessness, Florinda’s generosity knew no bounds. In her earlier days, she worked as a caregiver for handicapped children and often tended for families that needed help. She also enjoyed playing sports like volleyball and baseball, often beating the boys! Later on, she decided to go to cosmetology school and worked at a beauty parlor for a short time.
At age 24, Florinda met Douglas Bee at a church gathering. After a short courtship, they were married in the Provo, Utah temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on July 19, 1975.
Florinda’s dream of becoming a mother came true when she had her three sons, Dorian, Daniel, and Dalane. Her nurturing, kind-heartedness, and generosity that she was known for her whole life was poured upon her children and later her nine grandchildren: Lesly, Daymeon, Ashley, Tasia, Gracie, Amy, Faith, Dylan, and Isabella. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, whether it was gathering around the dinner table, celebrating birthdays and holidays, or simply sharing moments of laughter and love.
Florinda touched many lives of all who knew her with her kindness and grace and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire us in the years to come.
A memorial service to celebrate Florinda’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on August 3, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1478 West 2175 South, Woods Cross, Utah. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering and honoring our remarkable mother who touched so many lives with her love.
