Fern Nelson

September 9, 1926 — May 1, 2009

Fern Worthington Nelson, 82, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, joined the love of her life and eternal companion, Rees William Nelson, when she returned home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 1, 2009.

Born to Murren Henry and Geneva Rees Worthington on September 9, 1926 in Nephi, UT, Fern graduated from Juab High School, Class of 1944, and married her one and only true love, Rees, on October 4, 1945. Fern and Rees were sealed for all eternity in the Manti Temple on December 17, 1946.

Fern was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many church callings throughout her life.

She loved flowers and gardening; most summer mornings Fern could be found outside, tending to her many flower beds or her plentiful vegetable garden.

Family outings were Fern's favorite pastime; some of her happiest moments were spent with her family in the sun and shade of Santaquin Canyon.

Fern's life was devoted to her family, and her never-ending desire to serve others will be remembered by all those whose lives she touched. Fern was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sisters Phyllis Price and Lois Boswell.

Fern is survived by her children, Jerry (Lynda), Dale (Clarice), Dave (Madge), Kent (Jennifer) and Vickie Aragon (Larry), 25 grand-children, 30 A� great grand-children and her brothers, Dean and Gordon Worthington.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6th at 12:00 noon in the LDS Chapel located at 90 South 200 East, Santaquin. Friends may call at Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, Tuesday evening, May 5th, from 6:00 a�" 8:00 pm and Wednesday at the church from 10:30 a�" 11:45 am. Burial will be at the Santaquin City Cemetery.
