Edna Jasper, age 96, was born in Eureka, Utah on July 2, 1915 and passed away on September 10, 2011 at the Charleston in Cedar Hills. She was the daughter of loving parents Arthur S. and Annie Bruce Smith. She lived in Eureka most of her life, graduated from Tintic High School, and was active in the community. Edna was the bride of David Jasper of Goshen, Utah and together they settled in Eureka to raise their daughter Carlene. A finer homemaker and cook could not be found. She was an active member of the Eureka Methodist Church, Eureka Senior Citizens, and a Lady Elk.
Edna is survived by daughter Carlene Eastwood, Lehi, Utah; grandchildren Jana Drummond (Jim), Raymond, Maine; Ron Eastwood (Valree), Graham, Washington; Susan Eastwood, West Valley City, Utah; great-grandchildren Benjamin Evans, Jeffrey Evans, Patrick Evans, Thomas Eastwood, Lacey Heppner, Annie Wallin; great-great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Bobby, Chris, Forrest, Britteny, Patrick, Jonathan, Sydney, Autumn, Faith, Mckenzy; and one great-great- great-granddaughter Jackie. Proceeded in death by parents Arthur and Annie, husband David, brothers Frank Smith and Raymond Smith, son-in-law Thomas Eastwood, and grandson-in-law Chris Evans.
Besides her family, the great love of her life were the many animals that found a caring home with Edna. This included Billy and Lambie Pie the sheep, and also bunnies, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, birds, many cats, and most especially dogs of all sorts.
Graveside services will be held October 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Goshen City Cemetery to honor her life.
