Edna Howard

Edna Hooley Howard, age 87 of Orem, passed away peacefully January 23, 2015 at her daughter’s home. She was born September 28, 1927 in Orem to Thany Erven and Sarah Ellen Varley Hooley. She married Wilford Larson Howard October 4, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Edna was an active member of the LDS church serving in many callings including Stake Young Women’s president and Stake and Ward Relief Society president. She served two missions in Tampa, Florida and Temple Square in Salt Lake. She also served as a temple worker in the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos temples. Most of all she loved her family who will miss her.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Kathy), Pat (Ron) Merrill, Bruce (Jeri), Carolyn (Craig) Lasker; a nephew, Erven (Bernice) Jackson and a niece, Verla (Ned) Peterson; 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford, and a son, Alan.
The family wishes to thank Envision Home Health and Hospice for their excellent care.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 28th at 11:00 am at the Orem Suncrest 10th Ward, 90 North 600 West, where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 am prior to services. Interment, Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Brown Family Mortuary, Santaquin.
