Dorean Larue Clement Ames, age 90 of Eureka passed away peacefully in her sleep April 3, 2015 at the Art City Care Center to return home to her husband Clee, her son Harry, and her daughter Susan.
She was born August 13, 1924 to Harry Thomas and Agnes Cora Thompson Clement in Eureka, Utah. She married Clelon Roy Ames and they had three children together, Harry Roy Ames, Susan Ames, Clelon Paul Ames.
Dorean often spoke of the great times she had while in California as a young girl, and Cuba with her husband Clelon, and often of her son Paul. She was amazed we could take her picture with a smart phone and show it to her instantly and loved to look through the photos of family contained on them.
She always said she wanted to live to be 90 years old, and though the road was often tough, well, she made it.
Dorean was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Agnes Clement, three brothers Harry (Wayne) Clement, Bart Clement, Vaughn Clement, her husband Clelon Ames (uncle Clee) and two children, Harry Roy Ames and Susan Ames. She is survived by a son Clelon Paul Ames.
A memorial will be scheduled at a later date for family and friends to celebrate Dorean’s life.
