Donald O. Kester

Donald Owen Kester, age 72, gained his angel wings on February 25, 2023 in Santaquin, Utah surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with an aggressive cancer.

Donald was born September 17, 1950 in Sunnyside, Utah to Owen Donald and Iva Pearl Shepherd Kester. He enjoyed hunting with his muzzleloader, treasure hunting with his metal detector, fishing, camping and gold panning. He especially love his home surrounded by the many objects he had modified to suit whatever purpose he'd made them for. He was a welder by trade but could build anything if he needed it. Donald really loved his coffee made specifically to taste every morning and afternoon too!

He is survived by his former wife, Jody F. Prince; siblings Loney Miller, Oliver Kester, Roy Kester and Jewel (Ernest) Newton; children Clinton D. Kester, Ashton O. (Alicia) Kester and Ryan J. Kester; grandchildren Dylan, Star, AJ, Jayden, Destiny, Nick, Jason, Christopher and Samantha; 5 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Donald's life on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00 - 12:00 at the Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin. The burial will follow at the Santaquin City Cemetery.
