Heaven gained a beautiful angel on the evening of Friday, October 6, 2017 when our precious son Deryk Brycen Lowe passed away from a tragic and unexpected accident at our home in Santaquin.
Deryk was a free spirit that absolutely loved and cherished life. His infectious smile would light up any room or area he was in. His fun loving personality created joy, laughter and unimaginable happiness for all that knew him.
His short 15 years were completely filled with excitement and fun. It was abounding in selfless service and full of love. Deryk had so much fun with track and field. He loved running. It was his passion. He loved being outdoors and having adventures with his family and friends. Whether he was camping, jeeping, 4-wheeling, hiking, playing sports, fishing, hunting or just hanging out, his life was full of creating countless memories. Those memories will be cherished by everyone who loved him.
Deryk’s best friends were his brothers Devyn and Dalyn. He loved his family and he showed us in everything he said and everything he did. He truly loved everyone. He made sure that he always said “I love you” and gave you a hub every time that he saw you. He was a tease, relentless as can be. He had a silly and fun personality and everyone enjoyed being with him. He was immensely loved by everyone who was blessed to know him.
Deryk was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judy Lowe; his grandparents, Art and Sherrie Cornish; his aunt Andrea Butler; his uncles Cory Cornish and Ronnie Ross; his cousin Sabryna Clements; and a very close friend, Taylor Bryant.
He is survived by his parents, Javee and Jada Lowe; his older brothers, Devyn and Dalyn (Shelby) Lowe; his grandfather, Vernon Lowe; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14th at 11:00 am at the Santaquin East Bench LDS Church, 250 South 580 East. Friends may call at the Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 am prior to services. Interment, Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
Deryk had a very special relationship with his mom and dad. Although our hearts are breaking, we take comfort in knowing where his is now. We know that he is safe and happy. We are so very thankful and extremely blessed to know that families are forever and that we will be reunited with him soon.
Deryk was and is the very definition of a spiritual giant. We love and miss you … until we meet again our sweet angel Der-Ber.
