Dean Walker

Born as Gerald Dean Walker JR on June 28, 1960 drew his last breath surrounded by his loving family at 10:29 PM on June 25, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with everything from cancer to a broken back to lung problems and on to more broken bones. But the one thing he never had broken was his will. A stronger man would have been near impossible to find.

Even though he was toting his oxygen tank around it didn't stop him from playing with his grandchildren, taking care of his home, going on rides up Santaquin Pole with his daughter and even going on a horse ride with his son. Nothing stopped Dean from doing something when he put his mind to it!

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Tina Lee Walker whom he loved fiercely for all of those years and many more to come.  His daughter Lacy Dawn Madsen (Kurt Madsen) and his son Wesley Dean Walker (Shataya Walker). Grandchildren: Parker, Ryler, Haedon, Karley, Rylee, Zoey, Wyatt and Emmet. His mother Aretta Cothran, his favorite Aunt Rene, brothers: Rick, Terry, and Ed Walker along with so many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many friends. One thing we always said about Dean is " The only person on earth that wasn't his friend is a person he had not met yet."

He is preceeded in death by his first grandchild Kaydon Tyler Walker Wilson, nephews, Levi and Micheal Walker, sister Lorene Mecham, father Gerald Dean Walker SR. uncle Ben Coleman, and his partner in crime and best friend Bennie Lee.

There will be a viewing for family and friends on Tuesday June 29, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Brown Family Mortuary in Santaquin, Utah and a short viewing before the services on Wednesday June 30, 2021 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. Services will be held at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Santaquin Cemetery.
