Connie Lee Gross Spencer, age 73 of Payson, passed away peacefully April 24, 2019 at the University of Utah Medical Center due to complications from seizures. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family where they had maintained a vigil for 25 days.

Connie was born August 28, 1945 in Binghamton, New York to Franklin Beardsley Gross and Annie Ida Hanna, the second of nine children. Her family traveled the country from New York, Arizona, Arkansas and Idaho finally settling in Salem, Utah.

On June 29, 1968 Connie married Richard Lee Spencer. They were blessed with their children John, Julie, Gary and Debbie. Connie and Richard shared a love of the outdoors, fishing, camping and hunting. They enjoyed several cruises, trips to Anchorage, Alaska, Maryland and Hawaii. She enjoyed spending time with family and traveled across the country to visit them. They built the family home on the Spencer homestead with Connie doing much of the construction and painting herself.

Connie was gifted in taking care of and raising children. She could make any task or chore seem fun. Her love, kindness and thoughtfulness will be remembered by all. Her greatest joy was her husband and family. She adored her grandkids and great grandkids and they loved her dearly.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; children, John Mason (Tammy), Julie (Jeff), Gary (Wendy), Debbie (Ken); 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Shirley, Bonnie, Frankie, Darla, Tonia and Kathy.
