Clare Adams Atkin
Clare Adams Atkin, 75, passed away March 17, 2006 in Payson, Utah after a brief illness. He was born November 7, 1930 in St George, Utah to Richard Henry and Mary Adams Atkin. He married Helen Crouch in 1955 in the St. George LDS Temple. They later divorced.
He was a member of the LDS Church holding the office of High Priest and serving in many callings during his life. He served a mission in Southern California.
After receiving his degree from CSU he spent most of his life teaching in the Clark County School District of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army.
Clare is survived by his children, Douglas Clare Atkin, Carri Lynn Covington, Gregory Crouch Atkin, Scott Gordon Atkin; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Ivan and sister, Marylou. He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a granddaughter.
Services will be held Wednesday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Santaquin Cemetery. Friends may call at Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Military rites by Santaquin American Legion, Post 84.
