Carol Strong

Carol Ann Richburg Strong passed away peacefully on December 26, 2021, in Heber, Utah. She lived a full life, always thinking of others and showing kindness to all.

Carol was born May 2,1939 in Winchester, Massachusetts to Ronald and Isabel Richburg and was the youngest of four children. Her home was one of faith and goodness.

In 1970, Carol married Russell Strong of Lynn, Massachusetts. Together they raised five children—David, Stephen, Michael, John, and Melissa. Both Russell and Carol joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1973. They were sealed together as a family on September 20, 1975, in the Washington DC temple. They later moved to Utah. They found a community of life-long friends here, and Carol supported her husband in running the plumbing business they owned. Carol and Russ raised their children in Santaquin, Utah and later relocated to Fairview, UT. They loved both communities.

Carol was known for her compassion and serving others. She loved taking care of her family and friends and spent much of her time babysitting grandchildren and serving the Lord. She served in many church callings throughout her life. She was happiest when surrounded by her family.

Carol is survived by her husband Russell Strong; four sons, David (Gina) Strong, Stephen (Alyson) Strong, Michael (Amy) Strong, and John (Novah) Strong; one daughter, Melissa (Derik) Bringhurst; and seventeen grandchildren, Ryan, Rebecca (Peter Harper), Megan, Joseph, Alex, Jason, Eliza, Daniel, Ethan, Emily, Anthony, Maryn, Peter, Kate, Nathan, Lance, and Madison; and two sisters-in-law, Priscilla Richburg and Carolyn Richburg. She is preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Isabel, and her three brothers, George, Hank, and Gordon.

Services will be combined with his wife Carol Strong and will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 in Santaquin, Utah at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 345 W 100 N. A viewing will begin at 11:00am followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm. Interment will be at the Santaquin City Cemetery.

The family would like to express their special thanks to all extended family, friends, and the Mountainville Ward for the love, support, and genuine kindness through the years. They also express their deep appreciation to the the many healthcare workers at Spring Gardens Assisted Living and Encompass Home and Hospice.
