Carol King

April 11, 1944 — March 23, 2018

Carol Rae King, age 73 of Nampa, Idaho and formerly of Santaquin, Utah passed away March 23, 2018 in Nampa, Idaho from the effects of Alzheimers.  She was born April 11, 1944 in Follansbee, West Virginia to Arthur Taylor and Zelma Gowen Wilson.  She married William H King October 8, 1971 in Ekron, KY.

Carol was a hardworking independent woman who had many accomplishments throughout her life. She began working for the government in Washington D.C. under the John F. Kennedy administration. She then went to work for the United States Army at Fort Knox in Kentucky. Once she married Bill and moved to Utah, she worked in areas of Social Services and she was secretary to the Dean at Snow College. Carol also served in various callings for the LDS Church, which included the Primary and Relief Society organizations. She also served in 3 temples, the Provo Temple, the Twin Falls Temple, and the Boise Temple. She loved quilting quilts and crocheting afghans which she shared with many people. One of Carol’s greatest accomplishments was raising her four wonderful children who each have a love for helping others and a sense of humor that they no doubt got from their mother.

She is survived by her husband, Bill, her children Lewis King, Susan (Anthony) McCormick, both of Nampa, Sheri (David) Griffiths, Elk Ridge, Utah, William (Melissa) King, San Tan Valley, Arizona; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; siblings, Raleigh Wilson, Sue (Tom) O’Leary, Douglas Wilson, Kay Hickman, LaRue King, Alice Sackett, Fern (David) Andreason, Patricia King and Stacie King.  She was preceded in death by JoAnne Wilson, Beverly Wilson, William Wilson, Robert Wilson, Ronald Wilson, Ralph Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Frances Hickman, Max King, Thane King, Ervin Sackett.
