Brian Scott Kelley was born August 5, 1990 in Bellflower, California to Thomas and Kathrynn Cummings Kelley. He attended high school at Payson High and American Leadership Academy, graduating in 2009.
During and after high school, Brian attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He enjoyed rock climbing, outdoor activities, running and spending time at the gym. He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest.
Brian served in the Georgia, Macon Spanish Speaking Mission from September 2009 to September 2011. He was always ready and willing to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone who would listen, both during and after his mission. After his mission, Brian worked at Ken Garff Nissan of Orem and was loved by his work family there.
His positive attitude was an example to all and his kindness affected many. He was a friend to anyone and he felt that everyone was worth getting to know.
Brian returned to his loving Heavenly Father's arms on July 16, 2012 from injuries sustained in a tragic accident. Even after his accident Brian was able to help many people by being an organ donor. We have been so grateful for the thoughts and prayers in our community and the wonderful care Brian received at Utah Valley IHC in Provo.
We love Brian and will miss him tremendously but take some comfort in knowing that we will see him again. We know he is doing missionary work in the spirit realm and that he is ready and worthy for whatever the Lord has in store for him.
Survivors include his parents, Tom and Kathy Kelley, of Santaquin, sister, Susan (Joe) Deardeuff, brothers, Andrew (Alli) Kelley, Alex (Megan) Kelley, and his puppy Lissy; his grandma, Nancy C. Kelley, his grandpa, Auville Cummings, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21st at 11:00 am at the Santaquin North Stake Center, 545 North 200 East. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 am prior to services. Interment, Santaquin Cemetery under the direction of Brown Family Mortuary, Santaquin.
