Brian David Courtney, age 43 of Salem, Utah passed away August 4, 2023. He was born January 30, 1980 in Provo, Utah to Sara and David Courtney. Brian was the oldest child and big brother to Craig Russell Courtney.
Brian attended schools in Salem and Spanish Fork, Utah graduating from Spanish Fork High School.
Brian worked many jobs as a young man and eventually owned and operated his own company, C4Excavation. He loved operating heavy equipment and the friends he met in the industry.
He was always adventurous and willing to try new things. He loved hunting with his dogs, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, archery, boating, barbecuing and smoking meat. He often traveled with his friends and loved going to Las Vegas to visit family and go to the casinos. Going to Vegas was a perfect getaway and time for him to see how fast he could drive his Camaro, sometimes getting to speeds over 130 mph. Brian liked anything with a motor in it and enjoyed building cars, motorbikes, and Jeeps.
He loved being a dad and was very proud and supportive of his two wonderful children, Hunter Chad Courtney, and Aspen Lynn Courtney.
Brian was an amazing person and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Thursday August 17th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the Knoll Park Community Center, 151 West 300 South, Salem, Utah.
Special thanks to Dr. Brandt Esplin and his many friends and family who supported him through this difficult time.
