Betty Pulham

Heaven gained an angel among angels when Betty Louise Norberg Pulham joined their heavenly throng on Sunday evening, August 16, 2020, at the age of 91.  She was greeted there by her parents Lester Marcus Norberg and Marguerite Myrl Bailey Norberg, her son Brian Mont Pulham, two grandsons and a myriad of other family members and friends.

She left behind the love of her life, Mont Davis Pulham.  They have been married for almost 70 years.  They are a great example to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who loving called her “Grandma-Great”.

Betty was an excellent mother and homemaker and taught her five daughters well to carry on these valuable skills.  She loved several kinds of hand work, embroidery, crocheting, and quilting to name several.  Many of the beds of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are adorned by a quilt made by her.  She also donated many quilts and crocheted afghans to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints humanitarian projects where they are keeping people warm all around the world.

She loved to garden and can the produce from her garden.  It was always exciting to stand in her cold storage room and see the gleaming jars of canned fruit and vegetables that her family would enjoy throughout the coming winter and spring until their garden began to produce again.  Her yard was always adorned with beautiful flowers.  She had a huge iris bed, roses, and peonies, as well as many others.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had many callings in the Primary and Relief Society.  Her most recent callings were as a ministering sister and she and Mont taught the Temple Preparation Class.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Mont; her five daughters Geraldine (Rob) Jones; Yvonne (Dave) Adams; Louise (Paul) Broderick; Nanette (Richard) Byrnes; and Dianne (Kevin) Rosenlund.  Her daughter-in-law Cherie Pulham; 29 grand children and 60 great grandchildren and anticipated the birth of 5 more over the next several months.  She is also survived by her sisters Dorothy Rothe and Janice (Ivern) Pyne; Sisters-in-law Collene Smith and MaryAnn (Jerry) Jacobs; Brothers-in-law David (Kate) Featherstone; Mark (Gay) Pulham; and Barrett Pulham.
