After over a year struggling with health, Barbara Faye Ney Partridge Roper, of Santaquin Utah, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 7, 2014 with her sweetheart by her side. She was born in Long Beach, California in 1938, and graduated from Payson High School where she served as a drummer in the marching band and sang in numerous school productions. She resided in Santaquin for the last 23 years of her life. Barbara is the daughter of Arletta V. Buckley and adoptive parents Lorin and Mildred Partridge. She married David Roper June 20, 1956 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Barbara was a fabricator at National Semi Conductor in Utah, maintained a daycare in Oklahoma, worked for Texas Instruments and lastly retired from Nature’s Sunshine in Utah. Barbara was a true daughter of God and dedicated most of her life to the Lord’s work. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend and led her family by pure example. She held a position in each of her wards as the ward chorister and choir director. She enjoyed her temple work in Dallas, Texas and Provo, Utah, genealogy work and journaling, and being an Officer of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers group. These things meant so much to her journey and growth. She loved to garden, share her wonderful wedding cake creations and spending time with her family. She was known for her charity, generosity, her patience and her love for the Lord.
